Citation of Traditional Chinese Medical Classics in ¡ºYifangkao¡»

Abstract
Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to describe how Wu Kun(çïÍà) understood Huangdineijing¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ìè¡» and implemented his understanding when writting Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡».

Methods : From Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡», we collected all paragraphs including ¡°ÌèèØ¡±, ¡°Ò®ÌèèØ¡± while excluding the ones with ¡°ÖåèØ¡± to filter out Sanghanlun¡ºß¿ùÎÖå¡»¡¯s perspective. The contents of Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤áÈÙý¡» and Huangdineijing¡¤Lingshu¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤ÖÄõÒ¡», cited in Wu Kun's Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡» were extracted, identified from which part it comes and sorted into headings under RyuPyeon Huangjenaegyung¡º×¾øºüÜð¨Ò®Ìè¡».

Results : The most cited traditional chinese medical classic in Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡» was Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤áÈÙý¡» Yinyangyingxiangdalun¡¸ëäåÕëëßÚÓÞÖåø¹¡¹ which was cited 41 times. Zhizhenyaodalun¡¸ò¸òØé©ÓÞÖåø¹¡¹ had a total of 39 citations followed by Shengqitongtianlun¡¸ßæѨ÷×ô¸Öåø¹¡¹ and Liuyuanzhengjidalun¡¸×¿êªïáѺÓÞÖåø¹¡¹ which were cited 13 times and 11 times each. In addition, it was confirmed that other 28 chapters from Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤áÈÙý¡», 3 chapters from Huangdineijing¡¤Lingshu¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤ÖÄõÒ¡», 3 chapters from Nanjing¡ºÑñÌè¡» and one chapter from Zhenjiujiayijing¡ºöÝ϶ˣëàÌè¡» were also cited. Also the analysis of the classification of the Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤áÈÙý¡» showed that 57 citations were classified as ¡®treatment¡¯, 41 citations were classified as ¡®Yin and Yang and Five phases¡¯, 39 citations were calssified as ¡®Cause and Mechanism of Disease¡¯.

Conclusion : 1. Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡» have explained prescriptions by implementing principles from 5 kinds of traditional chinese medical classic including Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤áÈÙý¡», Huangdineijing¡¤Lingshu¡ºüÜð¨Ò®Ì衤ÖÄõÒ¡» etc.
2. According to table 3, Yifangkao¡ºì¢Û°ÍÅ¡» have cited Huangdineijing¡¤Suwen¡º¡» to explain how each compounds were used and how the Korean medical principle of Yin and Yang was applied in the prescriptions.
3. It can be suggested in formula study there is utility to understand principles of traditional chinese medical classic to comprehend prescriptions.
